Big Girl Grace

We are happy to announce that Grace is mostly potty-trained, and she's only 3 years, 8 months and 5 days old. I also have a few funny Grace stories I wanted to tell. Grace's big prize for becoming potty trained was having a pretend birthday party, cake and all. So on Sunday we made her a big three-layer chocolate cake. We still have about half of this cake left which would be at least 6 or more pieces because it is so rich. I was standing by the cake earlier and Grace came up to me and asked: "Can I have that last piece of cake?" I couldn't stop laughing because it would be a very big last piece of cake.

The other day I was doing "this little piggy" on Joy's toes. I said- "This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed home, this little piggy had roast beef, this little piggy had none, and this little piggy went wee, wee wee, all the way home." Then Grace asked "Did he drop his groceries?" Very smart and cute (assuming the first and last piggy are the same piggy).

We're having a nice Spring Break, for the most part. We've all had a cold which has made Joy quite uncomfortable and fussy. But I think we'll all get better soon. I hope you are all doing well. We miss you tons. I'm already looking forward to this summer when Suzie and Jeff and the kids visit. Have a great day!

Aubrey

Exersaucer!!

Our kids love the exersaucer! The first two pictures show Joy playing in it this evening. The third picture is Grace playing in it when she was about Joy's age and the fourth picture shows BethAnne in the exersaucer when she was a similar age. They still all look a bit alike but you can definitely start to see the differences now that they are a little older. I'm so blessed to have my three girls and my amazing husband and a wonderful extended family. My cup runneth over. I love you all.

That is the end of my blogathon this evening. I hope you enjoyed all the pictures. Have a great week!
Love,
Aubrey

Harbor Cruise

Mark's parents came up this weekend to see BethAnne's play. It was so fun to have them here! On Saturday, we took a harbor cruise of the Puget Sound. We were so lucky, we had to get hats because it was such a beautiful sunny day! Here are some pictures. Everything is going well here. We love you all!

Peter Pan Play

The Fairies had to be on stage for the entire show, so it's easy to see how one could get a little bored after awhile (first picture). The second picture shows the fairies doing their dance (about 2 minutes long) which was BethAnne's big part in the play. She was so cute. Although, she said she was not happy about the dance because the other fairies weren't keeping up with her. I don't think she quite understood how a choreographed dance in a group is supposed to work. The third picture shows the curtain call. Almost 130 kids participated in the play. So much fun!

Beautiful BethAnne's acting debut!

Last week, BethAnne was a fairy in the school play, Peter Pan. They had been practicing a few times a week, most weeks, since January. I think it was a great learning experience for her and I think she had fun a lot of the time (although she said it got boring to see the same play over and over again in practice). I thought she was the most beautiful fairy ever. Here are some pictures of her in her costume. More posts to follow.

Home Improvement (Kid Comedy)

Yesterday, as we left the house to run errands, we noticed a flier on our door. BethAnne asked what it was and I said it was an ad for house painting but we didn't need our house painted. Then she said enthusiastically, "But if we could, we would paint it PINK...with BALLERINAS...wearing MAGENTA TUTUS!!!"

I laughed out loud. We would certainly stand out here with that kind of house. Have a great day!

Grace Comedy

Yesterday I dozed off while the baby was taking a nap. When I woke up, Grace came upstairs and she was only wearing her diaper. I said "Why did you take off your clothes?" Grace said "Because I was naked underneath them."
-------

The other day while we were driving around Grace said, "I want to go to the car wash so the car can be squeaky AND clean!"
-------

You know that book, "The Monster at the end of this Book" (with Grover)? Grace has asked me to read it several times, but most of the time we only get a few pages in because she won't let me turn the page after Grover starts asking us not to.

Have a great day!

My first real cut in a very long time

I don't usually post pics of myself - but Brian took pictures of me a few days ago and I about died at how ugly I looked! I scheduled a "real" hair appointment that same day and now I feel much better. I got my hair cut and colored and I think it's cute! Keep in mind I don't photograph well - my crazy eye lol. Love you all! Lisa
PS - Don't enlarge it! My little crazy hairs stick up everywhere - but you can't see them in real life (as badly anyway :)
