BethAnne's Boise Birthday Party

Hi Everyone,

We had a fun birthday party on Saturday for BethAnne. We're so glad that Chrissy and the Llewellyns could come and join us. Mom and Dad came too and everyone was such a big help. You can see more pictures on my web album. Mark is going to have a 2nd technical interview with Google (he passed the first interview) so we're excited about that. We hope you are all doing well. We love you.

Love,
Aubrey

Playroom

Hi Everyone,
We had so much fun at the playrooms in Cincinnati that we turned the girl's room into a playroom when we got home. They now sleep in the old guest room. It's great to have a separate room to play and to put toys. Our family room looks a little less like a play room now. Have a great Easter!
Love,
Aubrey

Sorry to take so long to post!

Hello family! I've been waiting to post until Jon or I had something interesting to report, but it looks like that might not happen anytime soon, so here we go! Student teaching has been going better recently, and I'm excited there's only three more weeks left, and only one more week of me teaching directly. Jon is busy as ever with school, but I'm so proud of how he's doing in his classes considering how much has been going on this semester. We're still looking for an internship for this summer, and it's looking more and more like we'll be staying in Utah, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I've started applying for jobs, both teaching and otherwise, so hopefully I can find something good. Teachers' salaries aren't quite as bleak as I thought, so that's good, and there's lots of positions open as well. I'm still not sure if I really want to teach after this hard semester, but I'm keeping my options open and my faith in the Lord to steer me in the right direction. Jon's birthday is tomorrow and we're hoping to have a fun, relaxing day. Seriously, we're super boring, but hopefully we'll have good news to post in the near future concerning jobs. We're happy (if not a little worn out) and that's all that matters. :) We love you all!

Smiley Baby

Well i can't believe Bowen is 2 months old. Time flies. He is a happy baby and morning is the time we can get him to smile the most. We are doing good here. We have had a busy couple of weeks. We had a house full for the blessing. It was so good to see mom and dad and Steph's family. It made us realize how much we miss living close to family. Right after everyone left after the blessing weekend Dillan and Deon (our friends from Provo) came to visit us. They stayed with us for about a week. We had a good time...although Ben was kind of a stinker about sharing his toys. We miss you all and are excited to see some of you at graduation. We hope you all have a happy Easter!!

Spring's a Comin'...

I love spring! We've had a fun March so far. Eva turned four last week. She is getting so big! We had a family party on Tuesday night, and surprised her with two little kittens! We got two because we read that when they're really little you should have more than one so they don't get lonely. I'm really glad we did it because they entertain each other so well. They wrestle and cuddle. One of the first nights they were with us, one of them poked himself in the eye with his claw while trying to clean himself; he meowed pitifully, but wouldn't let Jeff or I touch him; he went over to the other kitten and nestled under her paw (she put her paw around him - it honestly looked like she was giving him a hug) for the rest of the night. He was all better in the morning. The kittens are adjusting well to the Bousquet household (they love to sleep nestled in the crooks of our arms in the bed, but we've finally had to kick them out of our bedroom because they get up in the middle of the night and start chasing each other around), and Eva and Aiden love them. The kids are surprisingly gentle, although we still have to watch them pretty carefully. We named the gray striped kitten (female) "Tiger" (I know it's not terribly original, but I started calling her that and it just stuck), but we can't come up with a good name for the fuzzy black one. We'd love any name suggestions that any of you might have.
On Saturday we had a friend birthday party at our house; 9 four-year-olds! It was kind of chaotic, but not as bad as you might expect, and we had a lot of fun. I was so glad the weather was nice so we could spend part of the time in the back yard.

Change of subject, but you know you're not in Utah anymore when you go to a baby shower hosted by a couple of gay guys. That's what Jeff and I did Saturday night. The baby shower was for a really sweet couple (not the gay guys, although they are very nice too) we've become friends with out here. It was a nice party, and the guys' home was decorated beautifully, so we took a tour of it and tried to get ideas for our own house.

Today we had the trees in our yard pruned. The trees are huge, so it's quite the undertaking for the guys who do the pruning. They put on rock climbing gear and scale the trees with their chainsaws belted around their waists. I included a picture because I just thought it was amazing to see.
Anyway, that's the Bousquet news for the moment. We love and miss you all a ton!

BethAnne's Birthday in Cincinnati

I just found these pictures from Cincinnati. We had a fun Princess birthday for BethAnne at the Ronald McDonald House. Grace was a birthday fairy. Such sweet girls!

Grace likes chocolate pudding

Or, maybe she doesn't like it because so much of it ended up not in her mouth. She's a funny girl and a very messy eater at times.

Rogers Family Update

Hi Everyone,

Here's another picture we took tonight at Mom's party. It was a lot of fun. BethAnne is doing well, she seems quite healthy lately. She has emotional meltdowns more frequently, but that is normal after such an ordeal. Grace has calmed down a lot since we've been home. She is getting much better at entertaining herself. It helps that we converted one of our bedrooms into a toy room when we got home. It's a cute room, I'll have to post a picture of it sometime. We are looking forward to BethAnne's birthday party in a couple of weeks. We are so excited that the Llewellyn's are coming. It will be great to see you guys. BethAnne and I are going back to Cincinnati for testing and a Doctor's visit on April 16th and we'll just stay for two days (if all goes as planned). Then, we have decided that we want to try to go to Utah for Carl and Chrissy's graduation, unless Mark's boss seems unhappy about that. We really want to be there to honor your awesome acheivments. Hope you are all well.

Love,
Aubrey

Fun Phoenix! Fun Birthday! (Pictures Below)

I know, I know....I haven't figured out how I put the pictures with the words....so here's the words part:

Hi Everybody! Lots of fun, great food, and visiting in Phoenix last week. Oh - and we heard the best sacrament meeting talks ever from Carl and Stephanie and Oh - Bowen is sooooo cute, and was very well behaved for the wonderful blessing given by Grandpa Farnsworth.

And I had a yummy, happy birthday party tonight! Aubrey made my favorite - chocolate cake with lots of chocolate frosting layers. And I fell in love with the teeter totter at Costco for all my darling grandkids, so that's what I got! - The guys will put it up next week and it will be all ready for the big Cinderella party in a few weeks. BethAnne and Grace had to try it out early. When assembled it actually fits seven little munchkins - Fun! I love all your blogs!!! Keep them coming. It does my heart good.....and Dad loves them too!

The Hastings came to visit last weekend. Lisa was a bit of a stress-case over 4 crazy kids and a severe lack of sleep, but besides that we had a good time. The men did car repairs, then we dragged everyone to see the elk in a horse-drawn sleigh. It was cold and not as pretty as I was hoping it would be, but atleast the boys got to see some elk up-close and personal, and we didn't get any manure sprayed on us (the people across from us were not so lucky - I'll just leave it at that).

Adam has taken to wearing this hat lately. His favorite toy is a tractor with little farm animals, so it suits him well. Last but not least, Chrissy helped me take the boys to Kiddie Kandids. Brian has wanted us to get a family picture for the mantle. This pic of the 4 boys turned out so cute that we're going to use it instead (with the added bonus that I don't have to look at myself everyday). Now I just have to decide between an 11X14 or a 16X20. We're looking forward to Easter and especially to our trip to Boise in a few weeks. Hope all is well with everyone!

Too big!

So the boys are officially too big to fit in the bathtub together. It cracks me up because they fight over who gets to be in the front, but then they're all smashed like sardines so the person in the front is crammed under the faucet with someone's little foot jabbing at his backside. Brian has decided that he's big enough for the shower, so that should take care of the over-crowding issue.

We had a nice month. We went skiing (ok, big Brian had a great time hitting the slopes, the boys went tubing, and mom hung out in the lodge and ate brownies that made her car-sickened tummy even sicker!) A good time was had by all.

Then Chrissy came for the weekend and we had a wonderful time. We went sledding, celebrated her birthday, and watched a few movies to relax. We also loved seeing Mom for a few hours. The boys absolutely loved the "fun dip" treats she brought (do you all remember those from back in the day?) - they ate a different color every day. Actually, Brian ate all three colors on the first day, and Tyler and Cameron spaced them out. Does that tell you something about their personalities? Thanks again, Chrissy, for watching our boys so we could go out!

And finally, Adam is into EVERYTHING these days! I was trying to cook dinner and he got into the powdered sugar. I took the sugar and everything else away from the cupboard that I thought he could get into. Then I turned around two minutes later and he had cocoa everywhere. You'd think he'd take one lick and spit it out, but he didn't seem to mind (maybe his taste buds are a little more Baker than Llewellyn, considering Brian thinks dark chocolate is of the devil). Well, 7am comes early these days (though I've almost got Adam sleeping through the night finally). I'm calling it a night! Love you all...
