Trunk or Treat!

We all dressed up this year for our ward's Trunk or Treat.   I'm a queen or princess and Grace is a pretty witch and Joy is a princess and BethAnne is an Egyptian Princess.

This year I got Mark a knight costume so he could be my knight in shining armor and I could be his princess/queen.  It was very fun.  With Joy in the picture, we're a little royal family.  Happy Halloween!

Happy Birthday Joy!

Joy turned 3 at the end of September and we had two celebrations.  On her actual birthday, we made a cake from a few donuts and put some candles on top.  Then we opened presents.  This is a magical age because they're really starting to figure things out.  She really loved her birthday.  The only mistake I made was to put out the presents in the morning and then I had to find ways to stay out of the house all day because if we were home she cried about wanting to open presents.

Sweet, funny BethAnne!

We had a family birthday party for Joy a couple days later at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  We made a special cake with a special cake topper.  Joy got some fun presents and it was a great time.

Pretty Grace!

Joy got some fun blocks from Nana and Papa.  She loves to stack them way up high.
So that's it for this post.  Have a great weekend!

Kid Comedy- Joy

This morning when we woke up, I suggested to Joy that she should try to go potty on her froggy potty (we have a little toddler potty because she's terrified of normal potties).  But at my suggestion, Joy just looked at me and emphatically said in her 3-year-old voice-  "NO! It's too dangerous!"
Potty training Joy may take awhile... :)  Have a great week!

Joy Dress-up Fun!

Joy's been having fun dressing up lately.  Sorry about the picture quality on the fairy/nurse/cowgirl ones, my iphone doesn't take good pictures at night.  It was so fun to see Lisa and her kids this weekend, we had a great time.  Baby Josh is so adorable, I wish we could see you all much more often.  Have a great week!

Joshua Michael Llewellyn

This post is a little out of order, but we had a neighbor take some pictures of Josh when he was 5 weeks old...

Back to school and other fun things...

The boys on their first day of school.  Brian is wearing a dollar bowtie...not sure why...but he's a big bad 5th grader this year, so I don't think anyone made fun of him.
My baby is in kinderkarten!  He's just darling - and loves his teacher.

Josh's blessing day.

My kids don't believe that Chrissy made this quilt.  Isn't it amazing?!

Brian taught the boys how to tie their own ties.

This little one melts my heart every day.  I just love holding him on the couch.  I don't seem to get much else done these days!

Brian played football this year.  He did a great job and really enjoyed being part of the team.  His coaches were very dedicated, and they made the Playoffs.

We finally made it to Lagoon!  I'm not as young as I used to be, but my stomach is still as weak as it was when I was little!  The kids had a wonderful time.  They didn't even complain when we made them go to the car to listen to Conference.

Don't let this picture fool you - Cameron went on every "scary" ride there - including Wicked (we had to bribe him to get on it, but he said it was fun...)

Summer Fun Part 2

Aubrey and Mom were a big help watching Josh at Roaring Springs - and making sure he didn't overheat.  It was a HOT day!
Brian timing the kids on their obstacle course.  Brings back memories of when I would beat Carl at the park in Boise (what was that park called again - the one off State Street I think?)

Enjoying the slip-n-slide (or rather watching the kids go down it while we munched on licorice and gold fish crackers.)

We went to Bear Lake for the afternoon with Suzie and Carl's families.  We finally found a beach...sort of....

Playing in the mud...I mean sand...?

Could Liv and Sam be any cuter?

Rick was a trooper.  He helped the kids on the boat and played frisbee with Carl.

Awesome shakes.  Next time let's skip the muddy beach and go straight for the shakes!
Lounging after Bear Lake...before the adults escaped for a nice, relaxing dinner.  That was a great idea, btw...

Aunt Kathy did a great job planning the Baker reunion this year.  We learned a lot about Grandma and Grandpa at the Road Ralley, and then had a great time together in the evening.
I'm so glad that my kids get to spend time with their Great Grandparents!  What special people they are.  They are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year.  I'm so thankful for their committment to eachother and to the gospel.

Introducing Josh...and summer fun part 1

Joshua Michael Llewellyn - just a few minutes old (June 22nd, 2012 around noon)

4 adoring brothers and a proud papa.  We're in for it with all these crazy boys!  At least they can go on their missions straight out of high school now - one less year to keep them out of trouble...

Love this baby.   Wish I could reach through the screen and hold that sweet, tiny baby again.

Chrissy was such a big help when she can and visited for a few days.  She held the baby, did crafts with the kids, helped me take them to the waterpark, and even cooked.  The boys love their aunts and uncles!

4th of July strawberries.  They looked prettier on Pinterest, but I'm sure these ones tasted better!

Chrissy found an awesome goop recipe.  The kids keep bugging me to make it again.  Chrissy - when are you coming to visit again??!

Summer vacation at Grandma and Grandpa's house!  I think this is their very favorite place to be.
Grandpa with Josh.

Roaring Springs was awesome!

Grandma was such a trooper to get in the water with the kids...they loved it!

I remember wearing that helmet when I was a little girl.  Great memories!
