Hi Everybodee!

We've had quite a week, what with Chrissy and Jon moving out, and Aubrey and Mark coming to Boise! So much fun! Father's Day was fun - Sunday dinner here, and Chrissy made cupcakes with the girls to look like BBQ'ing - so fun! Then the girls helped me last week make a playroom out of the downstairs bedroom. They have so much fun in their own space now. (Woe - too many "funs" in that paragraph, but what else can I say but FUN!)

And I know we are all looking forward to the next few weeks. I will miss you all in Utah - and know you will have a great time. Thanks Lisa for hosting the party! And then I'll be rested, and we will have a wonderful time here. Eva requested going to "the beach" so you better believe I'll find one :)

Love to all!

Addendum

When I looked up from writing that last post, I realized that Xander had moved significantly from where I originally sat him on the floor, but he was still sitting up. As I have observed him over the past few minutes, I realized that he just barely learned to scoot around on his bottom (although so far, it appears that he can only move backwards). It will be interesting to see how mobile that actually makes him now.

Happy Summer

Hello Everyone!
School just got out on Thursday, so I guess it is now officially summer. We are so excited to see you all next week! Here are some pictures from May - better late than never I guess :)

One of Xander's very favorite toys is the plastic box that we use to store all his other toys in. He loves to take all the toys out. Then he sticks his legs in it and bangs on it like a drum. His other favorite activities are doing anything outdoors or laying in his crib watching his mobile and trying to eat his toes.
He just got his first tooth a couple weeks ago, and yesterday his second tooth popped up. He still isn't crawling yet, but we're just fine with that; we're not too anxious to start chasing him around. He's generally pretty content to just sit in one place and play.

Llewellyn Update

We got to see mom and dad at the Rognon homecoming today. We love you guys!

We went to the plane museum at Hill Air Force Base a few weeks ago. Tons of planes - and boy does Brian know a lot about them! He was able to tell the kids all sorts of fun facts about most of the war planes, weapons, and helicopters.

The boys made me K'Nex creations for my birthday. Cute boys.

Brian taught them how to play chess yesterday. It was heartwarming to hear all 4 of our sweet boys playing together for a few minutes.

This picture is out of order - but Cameron graduated from preschool a few weeks ago. I can't believe he is turning 5 tomorrow! He's definitely ready for kindergarten - this boy is smart and can focus on the same task for hours! The other day he helped our neighbor shovel dirt into wheelbarrows. He wouldn't take a break - he shoveled for over 4 hours! I kept calling him the Energizer Bunny. He is the same way with workbooks and reading. Go Cameron, go!

Joyful!

Here are the other pictures of our sweet Joy! We just got back from a really fun evening with the Elvidges (my friend Melynie and her family). They moved to this area right after we did and it has been so great to have them nearby. We will miss them a lot when we move. BethAnne is quite heartbroken to leave Meg, Melynie's daughter who is her age. She says she is going to email her every day. Dear friends are one of life's most precious gifts. :)

Love,
Aubrey

Happy Sunday

Hi Everybody,

We are moving to Boise on Wednesday and hopefully we'll be closing on our new house on Thursday. We're very excited and busy getting ready. Joy is very adventurous these days, especially for an eight-month-old. She can pull herself up on things and today she tried to climb the stairs. When my other kids were this age they weren't even crawling. She's really good at getting into the standing position, but not good at getting down gracefully. So we are putting a lot of energy into keeping her safe. Everything else is good. I wanted to take some pictures of Joy because it's been awhile. Here's one and I'll do another post with only pictures. Have a great week! I can't wait to see many of you soon!
Love,
Aubrey

Grace Comedy

Here are some recent conversations with Grace.

Grace- I want to go to Grandma's house.
Me- We'll visit Grandma in a few weeks when we move there.
Grace- Grandma is not a bunny.
Silence as I puzzle over the statement
Me- That's true.
Grace- The Grandma on Max and Ruby is a bunny.
Me- Oh...right.
---

Grace- I want to be a Scout when I grow up.
Me- Oh, a Girl Scout?
Grace- No, a Cookie Scout!

Have a great weekend!
Love,
Aubrey
