Boise Bakers: June again already? Time for the annual Llewellyn post!

Well we had another lesson about the importance of family history and preserving our own family memories in church today, so this is my feeble attempt. Better then nothing, right? Without further ado...80 pictures for your viewing pleasure.... :)

Josh has always loved his binkies. We used to have 20 of them...now he's down to 2.

Brian is sharing his love of music with Josh. Brian is amazing when it comes to remembering song titles and artists. When he listens to his favorite Pandora stations on the TV, he will cover his eyes and after only a few notes be able to tell us the song title, artist, and album of every song. He has an AMAZING memory!

Whenever the timer rings, Josh gets out his hot pads and tries to get the cookies out...even when there's nothing in the oven.

Adam got remote control helicopters and a pogo stick for his 7th birthday.

Adam had lots of friends over for his olympic-themed birthday. Lot of work for mom, but lots of fun for everyone else.

Brian is such a good man. He spends hours helping people fix their cars. Here he is with our dear friend Bailey. She learned a lot and her car is as good as new now.

I love the twinkle in his eye with his mouth full of cookie dough.

The boys played basketball this past winter and did a great job.

Carl and Steph came to visit and somehow this is the only picture I got (Steph and Sam are darling). We had a great time - we wish we lived closer!

The boys spent hours sanding and prepping their cars for the pinewood derby. Brian always does a great job helping them!

Cameron has always been such a good big brother to Josh

The neighborhood kids love to play a game where they try to knock each other off their ripsticks with pool noodles. Dad even got in on the fun...

Josh LOVES swinging. He is fearless.

Easter hunt at the grocery store...one of the perks of a small town. Josh was terrified of the Easter Bunny, but he liked the cookies, candy, toys, cheese stick and carrots he collected from around the store.

Josh is a pure joy.

Fun at the Brad Paisley concert in Salt Lake.

Brian took the boys to the salt flats to see the cars race. HOT and bright, but fun!

Josh LOVES "puppies." This is Sage, the Greer's dog.

Cam was an awesome little football players. Brian and Tyler did a great job too. It was a busy fall, but so much fun for the kids.

August, 2013 - first day of middle school for Brian!

We love the bus stop. The kids play on the court and jump on the tramp with a ton of other kids while they wait for the bus.

Brian helped Tyler make a shelf for his room for his birthday. He puts all of his trophies and "special things" on it.

Tyler chipped a permanent tooth while playing football with a water bottle. Now he has a silver post through his tooth.

We found Josh trying to fix this Christmas toy. He was so intent on getting the screw out. He thought for sure he could make it work.

Cameron and Tyler participated in the Youth Hunter Education Challenge this year. They practiced shooting and learned about orienteering and wildlife identification every Saturday for a few months, and then capped it off with the state competition in Salt Lake.

Not the most flattering picture, but we had fun dressing up at the end-of-school party.

Brian took the 3 oldest boys to Moab. They had a great time.

Our first trampoline casualty. He bonked his head on the metal bar after a back flip.

Tyler had a wonderful teacher (Mr. Hawkes) for school this year. He loved going to school every day (for the first year ever). He worked really hard to earn the Great American Award. He had to memorize the states and capitals (and where they are on the map), all of the Presidents of the US (in order and spelled correctly), the Star Spangled Banner, the Pledge of Allegience, the actual tests taken by candidates for citizenship, the Preamble to the Constitution, and the Gettysburg Address. He didn't think he'd be able to do it, but he was so proud of himself once he did!

Brian turned the big 4-0 this year.

Josh loved looking at all of the pictures. In this picture you can see that Adam broke his arm. He jumped out of a swing to impress his friend Shaylee.

Cameron and Josh at the Northpark mile race. Cameron's shoes were so loose that they fell off and he ended up running in his socks. By the end of the race, one of his socks had come off as well. He was a trooper! I bet he will tie his shoes better next year! He still came in well under 7 minutes. Tyler's mile time was 6:29!

The kids look forward to the end-of-school party every year. We soak the kids with water balloons and guns (even the hose) when they get off the bus. Then we eat pizza and treats and have a great time with all the neighbors.
